Yes. Every day since I moved to the farm on an island in Sweden, I have passed by a rune stone without noticing. How awful is that? My penance? That I admit the error of my observation skills to you and share the photos.

Rune Stone U15 at Ekerö Kyrka (Church)
Not far from Stavsund (rune stone U18) and rune stone U19 at Nyckelby, is a Ekerö Kyrka, or church, a well-known landmark. And thanks to the Swedish National Heritage Board database, I discovered the location for another rune stone and various fragments of rune stones.
I must have glanced at this post title 10 or 15 times today in the RSS feed widget I have for Journey of Mixed Emotions on my website, but for some reason it just hit me… OMG!… “I Passed a Rune Stone” lol (what’s wrong with me?) 😀
Well, it took you less time to notice my little pun than for me to notice an artifact on a hill that I drive by every day…
Lovely to see those rune stones. We have them in Fredrikstad where I come from too, the Ancient road, Oldtidsveien. Nice photos!
Enjoy your weekend.
